| Rwy’n cael ysbrydoliaeth o’r tirweddau a’r morweddau hardd rwy’n eu gweld bob dydd. Daeth teithiau cerdded drwy ein coetir lleol â obsesiwn â choed i mi, ac mae hynny wedi dod yn brif ffocws fy ngwaith. Rwy’n gweithio’n bennaf gyda dyfrliw ond weithiau gyda gouache a phen. Rwy’n caru’r dechneg gwlyb ar wlyb sy’n cyflawni cefndiroedd hylifol, atmosfferig, ynghyd â gwaith mân yn y blaendir i ddod â fy nghoed yn fyw. – I take inspiration from the beautiful landscapes and seascapes I see everyday. Walks through our local woodland brought me an obsession with trees which have become the main focus of my work. I mainly work with watercolour but occasionally gouache and pen. I love the wet on wet technique that achieves fluid, atmospheric backgrounds, combined with fine detail work in the foreground’s to bring my trees to life. |
